Making memories…

April 9, 2016 Soraya Hall

Last week we said ‘Good Bye’ to many of our Burrow friends as they moved on to their new rooms and settings. We enjoyed our times together and wish everyone good luck in their new adventures.

This week we’ve said ‘welcome’ to a new group of children. Some have come from the Warren next door and others have joined the Free Rangers family for the first time.

We’ve also enjoyed seeing our existing ‘Burrowers’ who have returned after the Easter break a little taller and with an increased air of confidence. This is so lovely to see and we intend to nurture this new found confidence by asking the children to help the new children to settle into the Burrow.

We know that this can be a challenging time. For your little ones and the adults involved in dropping off. Stepping outside their and your comfort zones, leaving your child looking apprehensive and uncertain is tortuous and can result in you feeling uncertain that you’ve made the right decision. Please be reassured that we empathise this is a big step for them and you. Do keep asking us questions, so that you’re happy you understand the routines within The Burrow. With regards to your child, we use many strategies to ensure their transition to becoming familiar with both the carers and the environment is positive and smooth. You can always give us a ring and we’ll let you know how your child is getting on.

Here are some photographs of the children enjoying activities and experiences available in the Burrow. Keep an eye on the weekly emails as they will inform you of the opportunities your child will have experienced during their time with us.

Our aim is to help every child in our care have the best time that they possibly can, as with comes the right mindset to grasp the many learning opportunities available.

Thank you for reading.

Soraya
