Not all Superheroes Wear Capes!!

October 20, 2017 Jade Edgell

Over the past few weeks the children in the Hive have been very busy bee's, we've been doing lots of exploring and making the most of what Free Rangers has to offer. We've been loving the outdoor environment whether we have been walking around the paddock and going on bug hunts or cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen.

We've been on lots of walks around the paddock and farm recently, and the children have loved it! We've been able to see our friends who have recently moved to the Burrow whilst they're on their forest school session whether it be some of the children who have recently moved or some of the Hive children's siblings!

The older children in the Hive have been making friendships with each other and creating bonds with one another. Which is lovely to see, it encourages them to begin to use their language, by speaking to each other.

"From the moment he's born, your baby will start to learn to respond and adapt to the people around him.

During his first year, his focus will be on discovering what he can do, such as picking up objects, walking, and chatting and playing with you. He'll enjoy seeing other people, but will definitely prefer his parents for company.

Around the time he turns two years old, he will begin to enjoy playing with other children. But as with any other skill, he will need to learn how to socialise by trial and error. At first, he will be unable to share his toys. Later, he'll learn how to empathise with his playmates. By three years old, he'll be on his way to making real friends."

We've also had superhero week! Thank you for all those who took part! You all looked absolutely fantastic. But don't worry for those who didn't - you're all our little super heroes anyway!

From the week commencing the 13th of November we will be having another dress up week for Children in Need! This can be dressing up as anything and everything whether you wear pyjamas or dress up as the incredible hunk! We will be raising money throughout that week so please make a small donation. The Hive staff will also be dressing up!

Thank you for reading!
