We've had a very busy week this week in the Nest! We've got a book of the week, its not just any book either, its a book made by Free Rangers! That's right Free Rangers have made a book, and the babies have loved it! The babies enjoyed spying through the holes to see what they can see...
We gave the book to the babies to let them explore, Myself and Madi then sat back to watch.. they began turning the pages using their fine motor skills. The babies also enjoyed pointing to the different objects on the pages!
At the beginning of the book it says:
"Welcome to the first Free Rangers book!
Look around you, what is there? Objects, items, bits and bobs... But what do you see? Things that are special to you, things that mean more to you than you could even describe?
We want to understand what children are thinking, feeling and seeing. When we listen, their world opens up to us"
You can buy our book "I see, you see" from our online shop on our webpage at http://www.freerangers.org.uk/our-shop/ or pop into the office as they may have a few copies!
We've also been mark making in the coloured sand this week! The babies loved using their fingers hands and bodies to create different marks in the sand. They also enjoyed exploring the different texture on their fingers!
We've also been practicing our physical skills, some of the babies are just beginning to crawl, stand or walk! Myself and Madi are really pleased with how our new babies are getting on.
If you have any questions or queries about how you're baby is getting on, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks for reading!
