Hi, I'm Ezme and I have just started working at Freerangers in the Burrow. I am level 2 qualified and am currently studying for my level 3 qualification in Early Years. I have almost 2 years experience working with children in another nursery, however I have never experienced a forest school and even after just 6 weeks I am loving it.
I have been mainly getting to know the children, learning their names and all their personalities. They have all been lovely with me and they are looking after me as much as I am them!
We went on an adventure on Wednesday, looking for bugs! Although it has been quite sunny recently, today was a bit wet, so we all put on our wet weather clothes and boots! It was such fun jumping in all the puddles and climbing over logs. We found lots of bugs including a very slippery sloe worm, snails, woodlice and even a spider! Spiders aren't my favourite thing but I was brave and didn't scream!
Back in the Burrow the children have been teaching me all their special songs at circle time, I'm sure they'll be covering their ears when I learn them all and start to get louder - I won't be entering the X factor anytime soon.
Apart from my bug hunt my favourite activity since i've been here has to be the flour, oats, play dough and paint play. You know it's been a good day when you come home covered in everything!
I am excited to get to know all the children further and look forward to meeting and chatting to all their parents over the next few weeks.
All in all I have had a brilliant first couple of weeks and I know I am going to love working at Free Rangers.
