As the concept of Forest Schools continues to gain momentum throughout the UK, and the evidence of the benefits to learning continue to stack up, you might wonder what it is about training to become a Forest School Leader that makes the process of the course as much fun and valuable as gaining the qualification.
The Level 3 Forest School Leader's Qualification trains a delegate to be able to observe a learner and facilitate an individual's learning journey focussing on understanding and implementing a wide range of learning theories and practices. This, coupled with an outdoor, green environment; where learning is open-ended, and self-initiated; where play and creativity provide the opportunity for learners to immerse themselves in experiential learning, at their own pace; creates an environment where the possibilities for holistic growth are endless.
Forest School Qualifications focus on the process you are undergoing as much as those individuals that we hope you'll go on to help once qualified.
Much of the course is outdoors; learning to play, learning new skills and learning how the delivery and observation of those skills can inform future session plans.
Not many educational courses give equal weight to nurturing skill acquisition, problem solving, creativity, social skills and more crucially emotional development. So if you're looking for a qualification that focusses more on the holistic development of an individual and gives importance to the future of their learning as opposed to ticking a long line of boxes; look no further; come and join us outside and help others to release their potential.
