In the Warren this week we have really enjoyed the tent and tunnel which connect together. This allows the children to use there physical development in trying different ways to fit through the tunnel, e.g crawling, wriggling through to get out the other end.
This also helps their personal, social and emotional skills as they are interested in each others play and start to join in with each other following each other through the tunnel. Also a few of the children grouped together or seeked out each other to share experiences of laughter and excitement when playing peekaboo. They also used there physical skills in squatting down and rising to their feet without using their hands when going through the tunnel repeatedly.
Next week in the warren we are going to prepare a Teddy's bear picnic in the tent and tunnel, this will encourage more interaction with each other to meet their personal, social and emotional skills. Furthermore this will support and help there imaginations into role play in the Teddy's bear picnic.
