So the time has come when our little Free Rangers are leaving us to start their new venture of Primary School Education. Some of our children joined us in the Nest and have had a positive journey throughout Free Rangers and finalising their time in the Den. Other children have joined mid-way through the term, all of which have made an impact on Free Rangers.
We hope that the children of Free Rangers have gained, and more importantly enjoyed through their experiences that they have indulged in….. pond dipping, bug hunts, fire lighting, tree climbing, den building, farm visits, potion making, tool work, mark making with natural resources as well as the endless continuous provision that is provided throughout setting.
To celebrate the time that the children have spent with us, we arranged a Leavers Ceremony for the children, parents/carers and siblings to attend. We wanted to treat the little Rangers time with us as a celebration as opposed to a sad event…. Although there were tears from parents…… and children (not wanting to leave the party)!! Tam took this opportunity to recite a poem and praise all the children’s achievements through their Den journey. Ed thanked the parents, colleagues and the children for making his job inspirational and enjoyable. As a little gift to the children the Key Person; Nin, Sophie, Lucy and Tam took this opportunity to individually give the children a specially designed Free Rangers medal, alongside with a certificate that had special message from each member of the Den staff.
It was a joy to see all the children, parent’s/carers and siblings indulging in home-made cakes and juices made by Jayne and Val. Myself, Charlotte and Jess took the pleasure in the serving the special treats! The children came back for second’s and third’s!!!
We hope the children enjoyed there send off and we wish our rangers all the best of luck at school and hope they continue to flurry in their learning journey.
Thank you for taking the time to join our Leaver’s Ceremony, here are a few photographs to share with you.
Many Thanks for reading!
