This week in the Warren we have been putting on our wetsuits, wellie boots and coats, so that we can go outside and have fun in the rain.
This is the time of year when the weather is starts to become colder and the leaves start to fall from the trees.
Here at Free Rangers, we love this time of year. The weather is ever changing and with this, it brings new experiences.
In the Warren we have enjoyed playing out in the rain and splashing in the puddles. We have also been using the pots and pans outside in the garden to make some delicious meals. We have been using grass and mud to make beautiful cakes and pies, as well as flowers, sticks, water and leaves to make soups. We used the spoons, bowls and plates provided to mix and dish out our imaginative dishes.
We have been getting extremely engrossed in the mud kitchen and are coming up with new recipes and meals each day.
The children and staff in the Warren have loved playing in the mud kitchen and enjoy getting their hands dirty whilst making mud pies, soups and cakes.
We have also been going for walks along the cycle track to see what various animals and mini beasts we can see and what noises we can hear. Whilst out on our walk we were able to hear sirens “neenaw”, cars, the wind rustling the leaves in the trees and banging noises. We were able to see horses, slugs, worms, dogs “woof, woof”, a deer and some bikes.
Why don’t you become involved at home by going for walks and letting us know what different things you can see and hear. You might even be able to collect some leaves that have fallen and started to change colour and then make some leave sticking pictures for you to admire from home.
