At Free Rangers we like to go out and explore the local environment. Each of the rooms here enjoy walks along the Welton to Radstock Greenway when possible, as it is easily accessed by the footpath next to Free Rangers.
We are currently working towards achieving a 'Healthy Early Years' award. A section of this involves encouraging families to be more active. We would like to set a challenge to see how many of our families we can get to use the local Greenway for a walk at the weekend, or whenever you are able.
The Greenway is a local area that your child may already have knowledge of and provides lots of interest to see and talk about along the way.
You only have to do the walk once to be part of our challenge, but of course it would be great if you take part more than once.
If you are able to participate and help us with our challenge please sign up by taking a small sign up sheet and map (if you need one) from outside the Den or in the Office. We do need to collect very brief details in order to evidence your participation. We need to have our evidence collected by the end of January 2017.
To further document our challenge you could send us a photo of you and your child whilst you are taking part along the Greenway, we may share these on our website or Facebook page to celebrate your participation in our challenge.
