It's incredibly rewarding to know that you're on the right path. Our Holiday Club continues to grow in popularity and the same faces keep coming back, so we're glad we're doing something right.
A huge thank you for booking your children onto Aprils Holiday Club. Despite the threat of down pours every 5 minutes, the weather was decidedly fine. This left the children with plenty of time to race around the site, to build towers and forge friendships, chop and saw wood, to light fires and spark creativity and imagination, to laugh and shout, to crawl and jump, to splash and wander in the knowledge that this is, without too much doubt, their club. I might run it, by they certainly make it their own. I find running club this way (allowing the children to pick their own activities) suits them much better, their focus is far improved on what ever they've chosen, and they will get far more from it then if I had dictated a plan. Thumbs up for child-orientated and initiated play!
As successful as I thought it went (apologies for blowing my own trumpet) we also look to constantly improve what we offer. We listened to the children when they begged us for some spicy pepperoni for their pizzas and to spend more time off site down at the brook. They were only small additions but they make the difference to their day and to know we've listened and respected their opinions. So feel free to leave a comment and we will see what we can do.
Again a huge thank you and we look forward to welcoming you back at the end of May for our next holiday club! The bookings will open at the end of the week, so watch your emails! If you would like to added to the Forest School Holiday Club mailing list please email me at: edfreerangers@gmail.com.
