On Thursday 30th March I went on a singing course. I had never been on a singing course before so I couldn’t wait.
When I was at the course we talked about why singing is important in Early Years. It is important because it builds up the child’s confidence, calms the child down and allow everyone to be involved and join in.
After that it was time to get our singing voices ready. I learned some new songs, rhymes and lullabies. Some songs we already sing at Free Rangers so I was ready to get involved.
The new songs involve lots of actions that we will be teaching the children which I then hope they will teach you.
After the Easter break the Burrow team will be learning the songs and sharing them with the Burrow children. I will be making song cards for us to use as well.
On the course I received a booklet to share with everyone and allow us as a nursery to make the most of songs with under 3’s.
If any parents would like the booklet I am more than happy to show you and photo copy it.
I am very excited to learn these songs and pass on my knowledge. I have also ordered a new book from Amazon called This Little Puffin I am hoping we can get inspired and use it during circle times.
Please get involved!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter Break!
Thanks for reading
Francesca
