It’s that time of the year again where we see another group of babies who have grown and developed into young toddlers move on into the Burrow but we also welcome a new set of babies as they embark upon their new adventures here at Free Rangers.
We wish the children who have left to move on into the Burrow all the best and we will see you all soon on your adventures when you’re out on your forest school session’s around the paddock. It has been an amazing opportunity to watch you all grow into the cheeky little characters you are today and you’ll all be missed up in the Hive.
Myself, Madi, Lauren, Chloe.D, Sophie, Kez, Rosie, Amy and Chloe.W wish you all the best on your new adventures. (Don’t worry if you can’t remember all of us – it’s a lot to take in! There are pictures of us all as you walk into the Hive! Or just ask - we're not that scary, I promis
Starting a new setting can be difficult for a child, there’s a lot that they need to take in - new routines and lots of new people. It can also be challenging for you as parents as well, many parents that join with us haven’t left their child with other people before so this can be an upsetting time for you as well.
When starting in the Hive we try to ensure the transition runs as smoothly as it possibly can, we try to make this a “home from home” transition, meaning that we try to follow your routine that you follow at home. You will get to know you’re child’s key person very well and they will ensure that they feed back about your child’s day and their development during their time with us in the Hive.
It’s your child’s key person’s responsibility to ensure that the development of the child is regularly kept up to date. This will be done by observations that are taking during your child’s time at nursery. You will be able to see your child’s development online at www.tapestryjournal.com within the first few weeks of your child joining us there will be an email sent which will give the login details and information on how to log on. If you have any issues regarding tapestry please let your child’s key person know and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Good luck to the children moving to the Burrow and thank you to all the parents for being so lovely and kind!
Thanks for reading!
