This week in the Warren most of our children have enjoyed our tipping and filling activity using soil, pots, pans and spoons. This activity has supported the children in having greater control over their movements as they have been using their hands for grasping the soil and also to hold the pots, pans and spoons steady when guiding the soil into a container.
This also helped with their hand eye co-ordination as the children looked to where the soil needed to go but also using their hands in coordination when transporting the soil to a container. This activity is a planned Forest School activity which let the children freely explore using their senses, leading on from this activity Louise has planned that we are exploring water with a range of colours and using jugs and funnels to continue and further this learning intention next week.
