This week in the Warren we have been busy with a range of various activities.
Some of these include going for a walk along the cycle track on a hunt for some mini beasts, drawing on a sheet of paper on the floor having tummy time, going for a walk along the cycle track to the park and bouncing on the bouncy castle in our room.
Whilst we were on our mini beast hunt we took some magnifying pots out with us in order for us to look closely at the mini beasts. We were more interested in the birds in the trees and some butterflies that were flying around the hedges next to us.
When we were drawing on the paper whilst being lead on our stomachs, the children drew different markings and some were able to tell us what they were drawing. Being lead on their stomachs encourages their core muscles to develop.
On our walk to the park, we were talking about what we could see and hear in the environment around us. We could hear the birds in the trees and we heard an ambulance. We also saw some dogs and spoke about the noises various animals make. They enjoyed playing on the swings and sliding down the slides. They were laughing as they swung higher and back and forth.
On the bouncy castle the children were using their gross motor skills to jump and role across the bouncy castle. The staff also enjoyed the bouncy castle it was lovely to see the children so happy.
We look forward to the adventures next week brings.
