This week we have had lots of new children move into the Burrow. Some of these children have come from the Warren and some children are new to Free Rangers. What has been amazing this week is the amount of happy, confident children who have settled into a new room, new staff and a new routine with ease!

This week the children in the Burrow have been developing their fine motor skills (those skills that involve the small muscle movements of their hands and fingers in coordination with their eyes). In physical skills development, children are encouraged to practice scissor cutting to strengthen hand muscles and develop co-ordination for the later skills of writing.

We’ve had a really good week on Forest School and luckily we haven’t had to put waterproofs on every day of the week due to warmer/dryer weather. Hooray! So this week we headed round to the big barn to have our snack, this week all the children have been trying different types of fruit, including Physalis and Cucumber.

For a long time now in the Burrow in one way or another Frozen has been part of our everyday routine! When Soraya started with us in January she very bravely brought in the frozen sing-a-long CD which has a huge 32 songs on it and I am sure this CD has probably been on every day since, with Lauren, Soraya, Chynna and I knowing every single word to every song!!
